Chargeback is best for someone who primarily wants dispute alerts and nothing else.

Consider one of the competing sites below if you want more than alerts.

Chargebacks911 does offer chargeback alerts through their network inquiry solutions. But it’s bundled with other services like:

  • Dispute representment;
  • Diagnosing chargeback sources;
  • And more

I wouldn’t like this for 3 reasons as someone who sells things online.

1: I’d have to pay more since everything’s bundled.

2: They don’t specialize in chargeback alerts.

Because they don’t, they allegedly won’t focus as much on optimizing the ways merchants receive dispute alerts.

For instance, having a better dashboard.

3: I’d highly recommend going with a chargeback analyst over a software provider. They’ll be more thorough with preventing chargebacks.

And they (hopefully) won’t end up in a lawsuit against the US FTC.

Having an analyst ensures that everything’s done by the books regarding chargeback representment. Because by interfering with the chargeback process, you are “undermining consumers’ rights.”

As quoted by the FTC.

I won’t comment any further on the lawsuit. However. You should be careful regarding services like that.

Also, chargeback prevention is better than paying for chargeback help. Especially considering that the industry average win rate is around 30%.

And what’s what Chargeback focuses on. Prevention.

There’s a caveat…

Alerts aren’t ideal for e-commerce merchants who run on low margins. Or similar low-margin industries.

Because you may lose more since the alert itself could cost more than the item’s value.
